I am glad to hear your ladies are so enthusiastically supporting this event. Hopefully the travel arrangements will not pose too many problems – in fact a number of our members are greatly looking forward to the possibility of travelling via the Electric Tube and British Railways.
I do dimly recall that very first gathering in Trafalgar Square all those years ago. The attendance by so many other groups was greatly heartening despite the unnecessarily heavy police presence in that and so many subsequent years. In many respects I have to say that my favourite venue to date was Brockwell Park and the additional benefit of the outdoor mixed bathing was an education in itself.
Are we entirely sure Ms. Zimmer’s Thundersley will be up to the task? I had heard rumour that it, or rather its tenant, had recently suffered some mishap which may make it unavailable? I do hope that all is well.
